Lithium Secondary Battery

Abstract: The present invention provides a lithium secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly in which a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and a separator disposed between the positive and negative electrode plates are wound in one direction; a battery can in which the electrode assembly is accommodated; an electrolyte injected into the battery can; and a sealing body for sealing the open end of the battery can, wherein the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate each include an uncoated portion in which an active material layer is not formed, at least a portion of the uncoated portion of the positive or negative electrode plate has a structure defining an electrode tab, and the volume occupied by the electrolyte is 101 volume% to 119 volume% with respect to the total pore volume of the positive electrode plate, negative electrode plate, and separator.
