Image Processing Device And Image Processing Method

Abstract: The present invention provides an image processing device which correctly calculates parallax by removing the effect of diffused light components even when a stereo camera is used to photograph a light source and differences arise in the diffused light components due to differences in left and right lens characteristics. In order to achieve this objective, the present invention is provided with: a light source region identification unit which identifies a region affected by the light source in each of a plurality of images obtained simultaneously by a plurality of cameras having overlapping fields of view; and a parallax calculation unit which applies weightings to pixels in the light source region depending on the brightness values of the pixels, and uses the weighted pixels to perform parallax matching in the light source region and find the parallax.
