Abstract: A battery module according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a module case having an inner space surrounded by a plurality of sides so as to accommodate battery cells in the inner space, and having, on a first side of the plurality of sides, at least one vent hole allowing communicating with the inner space; and a vent hole cover attached to the module case so as to cover the at least one vent hole, wherein the vent hole cover has, in a portion of the vent hole cover, an opening that corresponds to the at least one vent hole, so as to be opened by means of the venting gas of the battery cells.
