The present invention pertains to the advancement of submersible motor
technology, specifically focusing on the development of modular flange
locking arrangements. This innovation is designed to enhance operational
efficiency for operators, ensuring simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and ease
of assembly. The key feature is the self-aligning mechanism between the
flange hole and the end bell, streamlining the winding process and
contributing to the overall effectiveness of the motor. These modular
flanges arrangements help to reduce machining cost & make the system
economical and sustainable.
Such a motor with assembly system is disclosed in US20070013245A
wherein a An end-wall unit for a submersible motor unit and
a submersible motor unit for use in driving a pump including a housing
that extends along a longitudinal axis and defines an interior chamber, a
stator at least partially enclosed by said housing within a stator chamber, a
rotor rotatably supported by a bearing assembly and at least partially
enclosed by said stator, and an end-wall assembly that includes an end cap
3
and at least one of a capacitor and a bearing assembly. The at least one of
the capacitor and the bearing assembly is supported by the end cap in a
position such that the at least one of the capacitor and the
bearing assembly is at least partially enclosed by the housing when the
end-wall assembly is installed on the motor unit.
Many of these units in prior arts are workable for the purpose intended.
However, most of them are complicated from production point of view and
few of them are simple enough to be practical, but not cost effective and
hence submersible motor with modular flange arrangements demand the
scope of the invention.
Objects of the Invention
It is an object of the present invention is to provide easy of winding to
operator.
It is another object of the present invention is to provide simple and cost
effective design.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide easy of
assembly and make the flange hole self-align with the end bell.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention relates to a development of submersible motor with
modular flange locking arrangements, the present invention provide easy
of winding to operator, simple and cost effective design to provide
4
manufacturing feasibility and make the flange hole self-align with the end
bell.
The present invention pertains to the advancement of submersible motor

locking arrangements.
A submersible motor Assembly with modular flange arrangements, the
assembly comprises of: a stator assembly (10); A rim (11) is mounted on
the stator assembly (10) which serves as a structural support and
contributing to the overall stability of the motor; a c section flange (12)
fitted at bottom of the rim (11);
a circlip (13) Positioned securely inside the stator assembly (10) This
element is strategically placed to offer support to the c section flange (12),
ensuring stability and integrity in the arrangement; an end bell (14)
mounted on rim guide (15) and fasten into the c section flange (12),
characterized in that said end bell (14) have designated space for
accommodating the top and bottom motor components.
Brief Description of Drawings
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better
apparent from the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment
thereof, illustrated only by way of non-limitative example in the
accompanying drawings, wherein:

Figure 2 - Illustrates cross sectional view of present discloser.
Detailed Description of the invention
Hereinafter, various embodiments of the present disclosure will be
described with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be noted
that all of these drawings and description are only presented as exemplary
embodiments. It is to note that based on the subsequent description,
alternative embodiments may be conceived that may have a structure and
method as disclosed herein, and such alternative embodiments may be
used without departing from the principle of the disclosure as claimed
herein.
It may be appreciated that these exemplary embodiments are provided
herein only for enabling those skilled in the art to better understand and
then further implement the present disclosure, and is not intended to limit
the scope of the present disclosure in any manner.
In accordance with the present invention there is provided a submersible
motor Assembly with modular flange arrangements, the assembly
comprises of key components, notably: a stator assembly (10); a rim (11)
mounted on the stator assembly (10) wherein The outer periphery of the
rim (11) undergoes a precise guiding process facilitated by a stator pipe
(16), and collar (17) of the rim rest on top surface of the pipe, then rim (11)
and stator pipe (16) are fix together by welding to make it a single entity,
this specific contact point serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it provides
additional stability to the alignment and preventing any potential
displacement during the welding process.
6
A C-section flange (12) is fitted at the bottom of the rim (11), with a circlip
(13) secured inside the stator assembly (10) to support the C-section flange
(12). This circlip (13) acts as a protector, ensuring that the C-section flange
(12) remains securely attached and well-supported; an end bell (14) is
mounted on a rim guide (15) and fastened into the C-section flange (12). It
is characterized by the end bell (14) being designed to receive the top and
bottom assembly of the motor. The strategic placement of this flange is not
arbitrary; it serves as a critical element in the structural integrity and
functioning of the motor assembly.
Moving further into the assembly, we encounter the end bell (14), mounted
on rim guide and plays a pivotal role in the integration and functionality of
the motor, the end bell (14) is carefully positioned to optimize its
interaction with the other components.
Typically, the C-section flange (12) is designed with a recess (19) for a
power cable, and it is additionally incorporated with an outer flat end (20)
to facilitate ease of installation during motor assembly. Furthermore, the
C-section flange (12) is equipped with threads (21) to receive bolts (22),
and said bolts (22) fasten the end bell (14) to the C-section flange (12).
The rim guide (15), situated on top of the rim (11), typically directs the
outer periphery of the end bell (14). The rim (11) is specifically crafted to
accommodate the end bell (14). Moreover, the design of the end bell (14)
is such that it is equipped to guide the rotor effectively.
The end bell (14) has provisions to receive both the top and bottom
assemblies of the motor. Additionally, in accordance with an embodiment
7
of the invention, the end bell (14) can be integrated with the top and
bottom adapters of the motor. , Claims:We claim:
