Abstract: AN APPARATUS TO ESTABLISH PERPENDICULARITY OF A FORMWORK PANEL An apparatus to establish perpendicularity of a formwork panel (120) comprises a formwork panel (120), a sensor unit (116), a linear actuator (108) and a rod (110). The formwork panel (120) is mounted adjacent to the base plate (102). A bottom end of the rod (106) is coupled to a linear actuator (108) and top end (112) provides support to formwork panel (120). The sensor unit (116) is coupled at top side of the formwork panel (122). Sensor unit measures angle of formwork panel (120) with respect to horizontal. During operation the linear actuator (108) is configured to provide a linear motion to the rod (110) to support the formwork panel (120) thereby establishing the perpendicularity of the formwork (120) with respect to horizontal.
We claim:
1. An apparatus (100) to establish perpendicularity of a formwork
panel (120) comprising: a base plate (102); a formwork panel (120), wherein the formwork panel (120) is mounted adjacent to the base plate (102), wherein the formwork
panel (120) comprises a top side (122) and a bottom side (124);
a rod (110), wherein the rod (110) comprises a top end (112) and
a bottom end (106), wherein the bottom end (106) is coupled to a
linear actuator (108) and the top end (112) is configured to provide
support to the formwork panel (120); a sensor unit (116) coupled at a top side of the formwork panel (122), wherein the sensor unit (116) is configured to measure an angle
of formwork panel (120) with respect to horizontal; during operation the linear actuator (108) is configured to provide a linear motion to the rod (110) to support the formwork
panel (120) thereby establishing the perpendicularity of the formwork panel (120) with respect to the ground.
2. The apparatus (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the linear actuator
(108), comprises a first end (128) and a second end (130), wherein the first
end (128) is coupled to a first mounting bracket (104) and second end (130)
is coupled to the bottom end of the rod (106) wherein the first mounting
bracket (104) is coupled to the base plate (102).
3. The apparatus (100) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the linear actuator
(108) is coupled to the first mounting bracket (104) through a hinge joint to
provide rotational movement to the linear actuator (108) with respect to the
first mounting bracket (104).
4. The apparatus (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the linear actuator
(108) is configured in a push-pull mode, wherein the linear actuator (108)
pushes the rod (110) if the angle of the formwork panel (120) with respect
to horizontal is acute and the linear actuator (108) pulls the rod (110) if the
angle of the formwork panel (120) with respect to horizontal is obtuse,
