Abstract: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPTIMIZING GEAR SHIFT PERFORMANCE 5 ACROSS FUEL MODES IN HYBRID AMT VEHICLE ABSTRACT Present disclosure relates to method and system for optimizing gear shift performance across fuel modes in hybrid AMT vehicle (102). The method includes receiving current fuel mode and input data related to current driving condition of the vehicle (102). Further, estimating torque 10 demand of the vehicle based on the received input data related to the current driving condition and a calibrated torque map corresponding to the current fuel mode. Subsequently, determining requirement to perform at least one of a calibrated gear shifting operation and a calibrated fuel injection operation based on the estimated torque demand and the received input data, using at calibrated gear shift map or calibrated fuel injection map corresponding to the current fuel 15 mode. Thereafter, performing calibrated gear shift operation or calibrated fuel injection operation corresponding to the current fuel mode. The present disclosure offers similar performance across the plurality of fuel modes in hybrid AMT vehicles. Fig. 1
We Claim:
1. A method of optimizing gear shift performance across fuel modes in a hybrid
Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) vehicle (102), by a control unit (108), the
method comprising:
receiving a current fuel mode from a plurality of fuel modes of a hybrid AMT
10 vehicle (102) and input data related to current driving condition of the hybrid AMT
vehicle (102) from one or more sensors (104) associated with the hybrid AMT vehicle
(102);
estimating a torque demand of the hybrid AMT vehicle (102) based on the
received input data related to the current driving condition and a calibrated torque map
15 corresponding to the current fuel mode;
determining a requirement to perform at least one of a calibrated gear shifting
operation and a calibrated fuel injection operation based on the estimated torque
demand and the received input data, using at least one of a calibrated gear shift map
and a calibrated fuel injection map corresponding to the current fuel mode; and
20 performing at least one of the calibrated gear shift operation and the calibrated
fuel injection operation corresponding to the current fuel mode based on the determined
requirement to optimize gear shift performance across the plurality of fuel modes of the
hybrid AMT vehicle (102).
25 2. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the input data related to the current driving
condition of the hybrid AMT vehicle (102) comprises at least one of current gear of the
hybrid AMT vehicle (102), accelerator pedal position of the hybrid AMT vehicle (102),
Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) of the hybrid AMT vehicle (102), and load of the hybrid
AMT vehicle (102).

3. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the calibrated gear shift map indicates the
calibrated gear shifting operation corresponding to the current fuel mode and the
calibrated fuel injection map indicates the calibrated fuel injection operation for the
current fuel mode, wherein calibration is performed such that the gear shif
