Abstract: ABSTRACT LOW CARBON COLD ROLLED COMPLEX PHASE STEEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF The present invention relates to a low carbon cold rolled complex phase steel and a method (100) for manufacturing low carbon cold rolled complex phase steel. The low carbon cold rolled complex phase steel comprises the following composition expressed in weight %: C < 0.12, Mn – 1.0-2.7, S < 0.006, P < 0.02, Si – 0.00-0.60, Al – 0.02-0.06, Nb – 0.00-0.06, Ti – 0.00-0.04, Cr – 0.10-1.00, Mo – 0.00-0.50, N (ppm) < 80, and the balance being Iron (Fe) and unavoidable impurities. The low carbon cold rolled complex phase steel comprises a microstructure of 10-60% ferrite, 5-20% martensite, and 20-85% bainite. The low carbon cold rolled complex phase steel exhibits an ultimate tensile strength in the range of 780 - 900 MPa and minimum % Elongation – 13%.
