Abstract: “PROCESS OF EXTRACTING ELECTROLYTIC MANGANESE DIOXIDE FROM MANGANESE ORE “ ABSTRACT A process (300) of extracting electrolytic manganese dioxide from manganese ore by electrolysis, is provided. The process 5 includes subjecting (302) manganese particles obtained from pre-processing (of manganese ore to a leaching process with an acid solution to obtain a manganese salt solution. Further, filtering (304) the manganese salt solution to remove impurities from the manganese salt solution; and obtaining (306) a manganese salt filtrate by adjusting a pH value of the filtered manganese salt solution using an alkali solution and 10 subjecting the pH adjusted manganese salt solution to filtration. Furthermore, the manganese salt filtrate is subjected (308) to an electrolysis process by maintaining parameters associated with the electrolysis process within a predefined range to obtain the composition of the manganese and byproducts from the manganese salt filtrate. The composition of manganese corresponds to electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD). The EMD includes gamma manganese 15 dioxide (γ-MnO2).
