Method For Carbon Dioxide (Co2) Conversion From Exhaust Gas To Value Added Compounds

Abstract: A method (200; 300; 400) for carbon dioxide (CO2) conversion from exhaust gas to one or more value-added compounds in a non-thermal dielectric barrier discharge (DBD reactor) reactor (102) is provided. The method includes feeding (204) the exhaust gas to the DBD reactor. The exhaust gas includes a plurality of gaseous compounds. The plurality of gaseous compounds includes carbon dioxide (CO2) gas, carbon monoxide (CO) gas, and nitrogen (N2) gas. The method further includes converting (206A) carbon dioxide (CO2) of the plurality of gaseous compounds of the exhaust gas to first value-added compounds of the one or more value-added compounds in the presence of carbon monoxide (CO) gas, and nitrogen (N2) gas of the plurality of gaseous compounds. The method further includes extracting (208A) a first composition of carbon monoxide (CO) gas and a plurality of hydrocarbons from the first value-added compounds to form a fuel.
