Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: “A METHOD OF DEWATERING IRON ORE FINES” Present disclosure relates to a method for removing moisture from a slurry of a metal making process. The method includes steps of feeding a slurry (201) from an underflow of a hydrocyclone (208) to a dewatering screen (200). The slurry (201) is directed on a portion of the dewatering screen (200) configured to regulate rate flow of the slurry (201) along length of the dewatering screen (200). Further, the dewatering screen is vibrated at a predefined frequency to spread the slurry (201) along length the dewatering screen (200). Also, the method includes steps of classifying iron ore fines from residue (205) based on and dewatered iron ore fines are collected as overflow (206) from the dewatering screen (200), the residue (205) from the dewatering screen (200) is either discharged or recirculated onto the portion of the dewatering screen (200) with the slurry (201) from the underflow of the hydrocyclone (208).
