“Process For Producing Liquid Ferric Chloride From Waste Pickled Liquor”

Abstract: “PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LIQUID FERRIC CHLORIDE FROM WASTE PICKLED LIQUOR” ABSTRACT The present disclosure provides a process for the production or recovery of liquid ferric chloride from waste pickled liquor (WPL). The process is particularly characterized by a combination of chlorination of pre-heated WPL followed by distillation of the chlorinated WPL. The process does not require the addition of iron scrap to the WPL, thus making the process cost effective as compared to processes in the art. Further provided herein is a system to facilitate the said method.
