Abstract: ABSTRACT HIGH STRENGTH COLD ROLLED AND ANNEALED STEEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF The present invention relates to a high strength cold rolled and annealed steel and a method (100) for manufacturing high strength cold rolled and annealed steel. The high strength cold rolled and annealed steel comprises the following composition expressed in weight %: of C – 0.25-0.35, Mn – 1.0-2.5, S < 0.006, P < 0.02, Si – 0.02-1.0, Al – 0.02-1.0, Mo – 0.00-0.30, N (ppm) < 80, and the balance being Iron (Fe) and unavoidable impurities. The high strength cold rolled and annealed steel comprises a microstructure of 10-30% bainite, 70-90% martensite, and 5-12% retained austenite. The high strength cold rolled and annealed steel exhibits a minimum tensile strength of 1400 MPa combined with uniform elongation of 9 % and total elongation of 12%.
