System For Automated Guarding Of Industrial Equipment And Method Thereof

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATED GUARDING OF INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT AND METHOD THEREOF Disclosed herein is a system for automated guarding of an industrial equipment. The system receives a live video feed of a predefined field of view of the industrial equipment and generates a virtual barricade is generated around the industrial equipment based on the live video feed. Thereafter, presence of one or more persons within the virtual barricade is detected based on an analysis of a region within the virtual barricade. Furthermore, a safety status of each person is determined based on a detection of predefined safety accessories worn by each person. Subsequently, an operational status of the industrial equipment is determined based on information stored in a centralized database associated with the system. Thereafter, alerts are generated to guard the industrial equipment based on presence of the persons within the virtual barricading, the safety status of each person, and the operational status of the industrial equipment.
