A Device For Measuring Dimensions Of A Hot Billet During Hot Rolling

Abstract: The present invention discloses a device (100) for measuring dimensions of a hot billet during hot rolling. The device (100) includes a frame (10) defined with a front end (10a) and a rear end (10b). The front end (10a) is defined with a plurality of first rollers (15) configured to contact a first surface and roll over the hot billet. Further, the device includes a pivoting arm (20) coupled to the frame comprising a plurality of second rollers (25) configured roll under the hot billet. Furthermore, the device includes a plurality of support rollers (30) connectable to the frame (10) and configured to contact a third surface and roll along a length of the hot billet. Additionally, the device includes a plurality of sensors (40) positioned along the frame and configured to detect displacement of the frame and the pivoting arm to measure dimension of the hot billet of a wagon is disclosed.
