Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ULTRA-HIGH STRENGTH LOW ALLOYED HOT ROLLED STEEL A method (100) for manufacturing ultra-high strength low alloyed hot rolled steel is provided. The ultra-high strength low alloyed hot rolled steel comprises the following composition expressed in weight %: C: 0.3-0.5, Mn: 1.1-2.0, Si: 0.40-1.1, Cr: 0.55-0.65, Mo: 0.25-0.35, Ni: 0.45-0.55, Cu: 0.10-0.20, Al: 0.45-0.55, Ti: 0.025-0.035 and the remaining being substantially iron and incidental impurities. The ultra-high strength low alloyed hot rolled steel comprises a microstructure of 5-16% retained austenite, and 84 -95 % martensite. The ultra-high strength low alloyed hot rolled steel has an ultimate tensile strength ≥ 1200 MPa, yield strength ≥ 930 MPa, uniform elongation in range of 6 to 10%, and a total elongation in range of 11 to 20%, n values in the range of 0.30 to 0.36 and hardness varies in the range of 394 to 498 Hv.
