A Light Weight Rear Under Run Protection Device For A Vehicle And A Vehicle Thereof

Abstract: ABSTRACT “A LIGHT WEIGHT REAR UNDERRUN PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE AND AS VEHICLE THEREOF” The present disclosure discloses a light-weight rear underrun protection device (100). The device (100) comprises a stopper bar (1) defined with a hollow portion (1a). The device (100) includes a plurality of brackets (3) connectable between the stopper bar (1) and a rear portion of the vehicle. The device includes a plurality of ribs (2a, 2b) disposable within the hollow portion (1a) of the stopper bar (1) in a spaced apart configuration at a predetermined length from one end of the stopper bar (1a) to provide bending resistance. With such configuration, the light-weight underrun protection device (100) absorbs impact with less deflection and thereby reduces the frequency of repair and/or replacements of stopper bars (1). Furthermore, the device (100) enhances fuel efficiency of the vehicles. Figure 1d is a representative figure.
