A Method For Controlling Nitrogen Concentration In A Steel And A Steel Thereof
Abstract: TITLE: “A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING NITROGEN CONCENTRATION IN A STEEL AND A STEEL THEREOF” 5 ABSTRACT A method for controlling nitrogen concentration in a steel, manufactured by a steel making process is disclosed. The method includes aspects of charging hot metal in a shell (1) and blowing oxygen into the shell (1) at a first predetermined flow rate for a first predetermined time period. Further, 10 the nitrogen is blown into the shell (1) at a second predetermined flow rate for a second predetermined time period, after the blowing of oxygen. Further, the liquid steel is tapped from the shell (1), where the tapped liquid steel comprises Nitrogen (N) in proportion ranging from 40 ppm to 120 ppm, in composition of the steel. 15 Figure 3 and Figure 4 are the representative figures.
