Tyre Tread Compound Comprising Graphene Reinforced Rubber And Methods Thereof
Abstract: ABSTRACT “TYRE TREAD COMPOUND COMPRISING GRAPHENE REINFORCED RUBBER AND METHODS THEREOF” The present disclosure provides a tyre tread compound comprising a rubber; a filler comprising carbon black and graphene; and an aromatic oil. The graphene is present in the tyre tread 5 compound in the form of a homogenised dispersion of graphene in a rubber processing oil. The tyre tread compound of the present disclosure shows improved tear strength and tensile strength and a decrease in rolling resistance. The present disclosure also provides a method for making the tyre tread compound comprising uniformly dispersed and homogenized graphene. Figure 1
