Abstract: “PYROMELLITIC DIANHYDRIDE (PMDA) BASED POLYMERS AND COATINGS THEREOF FOR IMPARTING CORROSION RESISTANCE TO METAL SUBSTRATE” ABSTRACT 5 The present disclosure relates to pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) based polymers and corresponding coatings for imparting corrosion resistance to metal substrates including steel. The present polymers are low-cost, eco-friendly and sustainable metal free anti-corrosive coating materials containing high N-content, and show desired anti-corrosion properties when 10 applied to metal substrates such as GI steel. The disclosure also provides synthesis of said PMDA based polymer coatings on metal substrate such as GI steel and metal substrate obtained therefrom.
