A Starch Gel Based Organic Binder, A Pellet Composition And Method(s) Thereof

Abstract: “A STARCH GEL BASED ORGANIC BINDER, A PELLET COMPOSITION AND METHOD(S) THEREOF” ABSTRACT 5 The present disclosure provides a starch gel comprising starch, alkali and about 87-92% moisture. The said starch gel is used for preparing a liquid organic starch-based binder having about 96-98% moisture by dilution of the starch gel. Accordingly, the present disclosure also relates to said organic binder comprising starch, alkali and about 96-98% moisture. The organic 10 binder is used for preparing iron ore pellets having remarkable properties including binding properties, GCS, CCS, resistance to heat shock treatment, etc. The organic binder of the present disclosure helps to replace or minimize the use of conventional binders such as bentonite in pellet preparation. The present disclosure accordingly also relates to pellet composition prepared from the liquid organic binder.
