Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001]
The present disclosure relates to the domain of a vehicle, more specifically the present disclosure is related to a mounting of a power source unit and a charging unit of the vehicle..
5
BACKGROUND
[0002]
In the realm of automotive engineering, the structure and functionality of vehicles have evolved significantly over the years. Among the diverse range of vehicles, a two wheeled type vehicle, or multi-wheel vehicle, hereinafter called as vehicle has evolved significantly. In existing vehicles such as but not limited 10 to scooters, three wheelers or tricycles it’s very essential to accommodate the integral electronic components which are required for the appropriate and desired functioning of the vehicle. Conventionally, such electronic components are mounted on the vehicle as per the layout of the vehicle, requirements of the vehicle, the manufacturer of the vehicle, the rider of the vehicle. Further, the 15 functioning requirements and characteristics of such electronic components is also considered while integrating the integral electronic components in the vehicle. Furthermore, the space available in the vehicle is also considered while mounting the integral electronic components in the vehicle.
[0003]
Generally, among those integral electronic components, components 20 such as power source units (such as batteries), charging units (such as charger) for the vehicle are most important and are essential for the vehicle’s efficient functioning. Batteries may include primary batteries which are typically disposable and used in specific, low-power applications within a vehicle, while secondary batteries, such as lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, are rechargeable 25 and serve as essential components for starting the engine, powering accessories, and, in case of electric vehicles, providing propulsion.Conventionally, the batteries are mounted either on the floorboard. The charging units are also mounted on the floorboard. But since, in case of two wheeled vehicle, the vehicle has limited space constraints and it becomes difficult to accommodate and 30 package other electronic components on the vehicle such as but not limited to voltage regulator, alternator, battery management system (BMS), electric motor controller or the like.
3
[0004]
It is a requirement to mount the multiple electronic components such as battery and charger close to each other to prevent the voltage drop and cable length. However, the same is always not possible while packaging these components in vehicle such as two wheeled vehicle which is already having problems pertaining to space available in the vehicle. Further, the issue of 5 increased distance between the battery and the charger while mounting them on the vehicle body, which gives rise to increased length of the wiring harness and individual wire length. This eventually leads to bending of wire which can inhibit the transmission of energy between one electronic component to another. It also affects the efficient working and functioning of the vehicle. 10
[0005]
Further, the mounting of the electronic components like battery and charger may result in requiring additional mounting arrangements or changing the vehicle layout. Furthermore, in the scenario where the vehicle such as but not limited to, is an electric vehicle the compact packing of the electronic components as explained above will also give rise to inefficient heat dissipation 15 of the individual components which may result in malfunctioning of the vehicle and fire hazard.
[0006]
The vehicle is often ridden in diverse weather conditions, which means the wires connecting the electrical components are exposed to dirt, moisture, and other external elements. Unprotected wires due to inefficient mounting of the 20 electronic components such as battery and charger may suffer from corrosion and damage, leading to electrical malfunctions and decreased reliability. Therefore, it is crucial to mount the battery and charger which helps the wiring harness ensuring optimal wire routing in a vehicle movement without compromising the integrity of the wires. 25
[0007]
The above information as disclosed in this background section is only for enhancement of understanding of the background of the disclosure and therefore it may contain information that does not form the prior art that is already known in this country to a person of ordinary skill in the art. Further limitations and disadvantages of conventional and traditional approaches will become apparent 30 to one of skill in the art, through comparison of described systems with some aspects of the present disclosure, as set forth in the remainder of the present disclosure and with reference to the drawings.
