Specification

Description:TECHNICAL FIELD
[001]
The present subject matter relates to a vehicle, more particularly, a holding structure for accommodating a plurality of vehicle components.
BACKGROUND
[002]
In general, vehicles are provided with a plurality of vehicle components 5 for operation of the vehicle. The plurality of vehicle components includes a plurality of electrical and electronic components configured for operating one or more operating systems, such as a locking system, an ignition system, and a diagnostic system of the vehicle. Conventionally, the one or more operating systems include the plurality of electrical and electronic components. 10
[003]
In general, the plurality of electrical and electronic components are connected to each other through connectors and one or more cable guides for routing the wires connecting the plurality of electrical and electronic components. Conventionally, each of the plurality of electrical and electronic components are disposed in separate mounting brackets and the connectors are required to connect 15 each of the plurality of electrical and electronic components. This in turn increases the part count of the vehicle and increases the path for connecting the connectors with each of the plurality of electrical and electronic components. Hence, the vehicle layout becomes complex and undesirable.
[004]
In general, the plurality of electrical and electronic components are 20 disposed in a rear portion of the vehicle and the plurality of electrical and electronic components is covered and secured through a plurality of side panels. However, during running condition of the vehicle, the plurality of side panels interferes with the connectors and sometimes the wirings of the connectors may get damaged or cut due to continuous interaction with the plurality of side panels. Hence, this 25 configuration damages the wirings of the connectors and thereby increases serviceability and replaceability frequency.
[005]
Furthermore, the plurality of electrical and electronic components, when disposed of in the rear portion of the vehicle, is also prone to be damaged by external environmental conditions such as rain, dirt, etc. entering from a bottom portion of 30 the vehicle. Furthermore, when the connectors are disposed rearwards of an engine
3
of the vehicle, the connector may fall into a rear suspension of the vehicle due to
bumps and uneven road conditions, which in turn impedes the functioning of the rear suspension of the vehicle and hence hampers the safety of the user of the vehicle.
[006]
Additionally, the plurality of electrical and electronic components when disposed in the rear portion of the vehicle, the wiring harnesses interferes with a fuel 5 tank of the vehicle and thereby routing of the wiring harnesses becomes difficult and the wiring harnesses must be rerouted below the fuel tank which increases the overall length and material used for the wiring harnesses.
[007]
Moreover, the plurality of electrical and electronic components is difficult to package in a front portion of the vehicle near a handlebar assembly due to space 10 constraint. Moreover, in the above configuration, the plurality of electrical and electronic components must be packaged without interfering with signal transfer and functioning of other components of the vehicle such as a horn, head lamp assembly etc. Hence, the operability of the plurality of electrical and electronic components gets hampered. 15
[008]
Additionally, in the above configuration, plurality of connectors are used to separately connect each of the plurality of electrical and electronic components with their respective control units which in turn increases the part count and overall design complexity of the vehicle. Moreover, the plurality of electrical and electronic components is exposed and visible externally from the vehicle, which is not 20 aesthetically pleasing and increases the chances of damage of the plurality of electrical and electronic components due to environmental conditions.
[009]
Hence, it is preferred to have an ease of packaging and ease of assembly of the plurality of electrical and electronic components of the vehicle without any interference with surrounding vehicle parts and to prevent damage of the plurality of 25 electrical and electronic components.
