Description:TECHNICAL FIELD
[001]
The present subject matter relates to a vehicle, more particularly, packaging of one or more control units in a holding structure of the vehicle.
BACKGROUND
[002]
In general, vehicles are provided with a plurality of vehicle components 5 for operation of the vehicle. The plurality of vehicle components includes a plurality of electrical and electronic components configured for operating one or more functions of the vehicle. Generally, the one or more electronic components are operated using one or more electronic control units.
[003]
In general, in a vehicle, especially a two wheeled vehicle, there is limited 10 space and the space constraint in the vehicle provides limited space for accommodating multiple control units for each and individual electrical and electronic components.
[004]
In general, the one or more electronic control units are accommodated in the limited space of the vehicle and are mounted using one or more bolts or screws. 15 Thus, the one or more electronic control units are permanently affixed in the vehicle without much concern given to retrofit ability of the one or more control units being of different dimensions and shapes.
[005]
Furthermore, in conventional vehicles, the one or more control units are bolted using screws or bolts. However, during a prolonged usage, the screws or bolts 20 gets damaged due to rust accumulation and also the bolts and screws loosens over prolonged usage and thereby endangers the life and functioning of the one or more control units of the vehicle.
[006]
Additionally, the screws or bolts only provides a single time usage and prevents repurposing of the same mounting brackets or same screws for mounting 25 different dimensions and types of control units and electronic components and thereby reduce the interoperability of the control units across different vehicles.
[007]
Hence, it is preferred to have a location for packaging the one or more control units securely and without using permanent affixtures for mounting and rigidly attaching the one or more control units in the vehicle. 30
