A Neuromorphic Unlimited Sampling Method And A Plug And Play System Thereof

Abstract: A NEUROMORPHIC UNLIMITED SAMPLING METHOD AND A PLUG-AND-PLAY SYSTEM THEREOF The present disclosure relates to a method and a plug-and-play system (200) for performing unlimited sampling. The method comprises receiving, by a plug-and-play system (200), a High-Dynamic Range (HDR) signal from an input source. Further, the method comprises transforming the HDR signal into a folded signal using a folding function and determining all time instants where the HDR signal folds to give the folded signal, and associated polarity for each of the time instants. Subsequently, the method comprises determining, by the plug-and-play system (200), an associated error signal based on the time instants and the associated polarity and sampling the folded signal to obtain a sampled signal. Thereafter, the method comprises obtaining, by the plug-and-play system (200), a sampled HDR signal based on the sampled signal and the associated error signal. Finally, the method comprises transforming, by the plug-and-play system (200), the sampled HDR signal to a continuous-time HDR signal. [FIG. 2A]
