Specification

Description:TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present subject matter relates generally to a tilting assembly, more particularly relates to the tilting assembly of a vehicle.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Typically, in automobile industry or more particularly in two -wheeler industries assembly of components becomes a challenge for the OEMs. 5 Components such as instrument clusters, frames and other small components require proper mechanical support to assemble with a vehicle. The instrument cluster is provided to the vehicle for necessary information update to the user such as vehicle’s status and performance. Further, the instrument cluster is also provided with adjustable mechanism to accommodate as per the height and sitting position 10 of the user. So, it becomes a challenge for the OEMs to provide a ease of assembly and rigid support mechanism to assemble the instrument cluster.
[0003] In the current assembly of the instrument cluster’s OEMS and manufacturers face the problem of vibrations and uneven balance of forces at the adjoining parts of the instrument cluster. These problems irritate the user of the 15 vehicles because it can create a sound from the frame and the instrument cluster can have a tilting issue.
[0004] There are chances of metal to metal contact between the instrument cluster and a bracket on which it is mounted, this tends to create wear and tear in the
3
bracket and the instrument cluster, further this makes it difficult for rider to tilt the instrument cluster at the predetermined positions provided by the OEMs. [0005] In some of the vehicles it is seen as the instrument cluster is mounted on the bracket with a pretensioning of bolt. Due to pretensioning of bolt there is a non-uniform movement of the bracket which creates variable contact forces on an 5 instrument cluster mounting portion. There is also metal-to-metal contact having high coefficient of friction between them. To overcome this, the contact force needs to be uniformly distributed.
[0006] Therefore, there is an essential requirement for a solution that addresses the above-mentioned problems with conventional vehicle components and instrument 10 cluster assembly.
