Abstract: CLUTCH PEDAL OVERIDING INDICATION DEVICE AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF ABSTRACT The present invention discloses an overriding indication device (100), comprising COIS (101), sensor-A (102),sensor-B (103),stopper bolt (104), linkage bracket (105),indicator (3), and clutch pedal (4), the COIS (101) is mounted horizontally between a stopper bolt (104), a linkage bracket (105) and indicator in the clutch pedal (4) within the vehicle clutch system, sensor-a (102) remains in an off state when no external force is applied to the switch’s actuator (3), sensor-b (103) remains in an on state when external force is applied to the switch’s actuator (3), once the signal from the COIS (101) is disconnected due to the elimination of the gap between the stopper bolt (104) and the linkage bracket (2), the indicator alerts the user. Description:CLUTCH PEDAL OVERIDING INDICATION DEVICE AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to the field of mechanics. Specifically, the present invention relates to dual-clutch transmissions. More specifically, the present invention relates to the dual-clutch transmissions for motor vehicles. Particularly, the present invention relates to a method of operation of overriding indicator for vehicles.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In general, manual transmission is operated manually by a driver of a vehicle to control a gear ratio for transferring drive torque from an engine to a driveline. The driver operates a clutch pedal that in turn controls engagement/disengagement of a clutch assembly (a clutch disc and a pressure plate) in the manual transmission. A clutch interlock switch detects contact with the clutch pedal and outputs an on/off state. The on state of the clutch interlock switch is indicative of a fully depressed clutch. When the clutch interlock switch is in the off state, the engine is prevented from starting because the clutch pedal is assumed to not be fully-depressed. When a false malfunction of the clutch interlock switch is detected, however, the engine could potentially inadvertently be prevented from starting. This potential scenario could be undesirable for vehicles equipped with an electronic stop-start (ESS) system that repeatedly stops and starts the engine.
There are few of the reports available in the state of art about the existence of indicator devices for overridden vehicles.
US20220397165A1 discloses the working of vehicle and tractor, the present invention includes a clutch displaceable to a connected state in which power is transmitted to a drive, a disconnected state in which the transmission is disconnected, and a half-clutch state in which power is slidably and partly transmitted to the drive; a detector that detects an operation position of a clutch pedal and outputs a detected value corresponding to the operation position detected; a control device that brings the clutch into the half-clutch state if the detected value corresponds with a threshold, and brings the clutch into the disconnected state if the detected value is less than the threshold and into the connected state if the detected value is greater than the threshold, and vice versa; and a change unit that changes the threshold to a different value in accordance with an operation on the operation member.
US4555006A discloses an automatic engine stop and start system, the invention includes clutch operation signal issued in operational association with depression of a clutch pedal are taken as answer-back signals into an electronic control unit (ECU), a starter start command signal is issued in response to one of these answer-back signals. Additionally, a clutch upper switch and a clutch lower switch, which constitute a clutch sensor and are connected in series to each other, are inserted into a starter relay driving system, so that start due to mistaken operation and the like of ECU can be avoided.
US7807936B2 discloses a device for mounting a pedal switch to a vehicle, the invention includes to improve productivity and maintain a predetermined switch contact gap between a sensing rod and a stopper after mounting the pedal switch in order to accurately detect the operational conditions as the pedal arm is operated, by fastening a pedal switch to a mounting bracket fixed to the car body in one touch insertion way. A device for fixing a pedal switch of a vehicle according to the present invention comprises a lock case 10 fastened to a mounting bracket 1 fixed to a car body; a return spring 14 disposed in the lock case 10; and a lock rod ring 30 disposed movably within a predetermined distance inside the lock case 10 and elastically supported by the return spring 14, and in which a sensing rod 42 of the pedal switch 40 is fastened.
Accordingly, while such manual transmission systems do work for well their intended purpose, there remains a need for improvement in the relevant art.
Hence, there is an urgent need in the state of art to develop a novel Overriding indication device which devoid above said drawbacks.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main objective of the present invention is to provide a novel indication device.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a novel overriding indication device for indicating the user in overridden conditions.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide an overriding indication device comprising COIS and multiple sensors within vehicle clutch systems.
Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a clutch pedal overriding indication device and method of operation in overridden conditions.
Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide an overriding indication device involves the gap between the stopper bolt (104) comprises Vertical stopper (12), Horizontal stopper – A & B (11,13) and the linkage bracket (105) thereby indicator alerts the user.
Further objective of the present invention is to utilize the developed overriding indication device for indicating the user in overridden conditions in motor vehicles.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
Accordingly, the present invention discloses the overriding indication device (100), comprising COIS - Clutch Override Indication Switch (101); sensor-A (102); sensor-B (103); stopper bolt (104); linkage bracket (105); indicator (106), and clutch actuation pedal (1), characterized in that the COIS (101) is mounted horizontally between a stopper bolt (104), a linkage bracket (105) and indicator in the clutch pedal (106) within the vehicle clutch system, in which the clutch actuation pedal (1) while user depresses to engage or disengage the clutch, adjustably connecting rod (2) links the clutch pedal and thereby secures the other components, clutch actuation fork (3) configures to transmit the pedal force to the clutch assembly, clutch actuation sleeve (4) facilitates to smooth movement of the fork, clutch release bearing (5) securely disengaging the clutch, clutch cover assembly (6) thereby encloses the clutch components, clutch PTO driven plate (7) securely connects the engine power to the transmission, clutch main driven plate (8) securely interfaces with the flywheel, in which the flywheel (9) configures for storing the rotational energy and assists in smooth clutch engagement, clutch actuation finger (10) included in the part of the release mechanism, horizontal stopper bolt – A (11) secured to limit the vehicle movement in a specific direction, vertical stopper bolt (12) restricts vertical motion. horizontal stopper bolt (B) (13) secured as an additional stopper for precise control, springs (14) configured to provide tension and assist in returning components to their original positions, cylindrical ball (15) which aid in the mechanism for smooth sliding action.

The present invention discloses an overriding indication device for indicating the user in overridden conditions in motor vehicles. The present invention discloses the configurations and integrations with connectivities.
Mounting Configuration:
The Clutch Override Indication Switch (COIS) is mounted horizontally by creating a specific gap between a stopper bolt (104) and a linkage bracket (105) within the vehicle clutch system.
Sensor Integration:
Sensor-A (102) (normally open contact) remains in an OFF state when no external force is applied to the switch’s actuator (3) in the free position (F.P).
Sensor-B (103) (normally closed contact) remains in an ON state when external force is applied to the switch’s actuator (3) in the free position (F.P).
Visual Indication and Monitoring:
The COIS integrates a visual indication (3) into the vehicle’s clutch system.
When the signal from the COIS is disconnected due to the elimination of the gap between the stopper bolt (104) comprises of vertical (12) and horizontal – A & B stopper bolts (11, 13) and the linkage bracket (105), the visual indication alerts the user.
Installation and Notification:
The indicator device (100) is installed in the clutch pedal.
An electric line connects the indicator device to the cluster, notifying the user when the predetermined value is exceeded. This device alerts the user when the clutch is overridden.
Precise Clutch Monitoring:
The COIS continuously monitors the gap between the stopper bolt (104) and the linkage bracket (105) within the clutch system.
Ensures accurate detection of clutch pedal override conditions.
Indications:
Visual indication if continuously pressing the pedal more than 5 sec it will give alarm signal.
Safety Enhancement:
Sensor-A (102) (normally open contact) remains OFF when no external force is applied to the switch’s actuator (3).
Sensor-B (103) (normally closed contact) remains ON when external force is applied to the switch’s actuator (3).
Alerts the user promptly when the clutch is overridden, preventing potential safety hazards.
Maintenance Optimization:
By disconnecting the signal due to the elimination of the gap, the COIS prevents unnecessary wear on the clutch components.
Prolongs clutch life and reduces maintenance costs.

In accordance with the present invention, the Gap between stopper bolt (104) and linkage bracket (105) is in the range of 0mm - 5mm.
As per the invention, the sensor – A (102) and sensor – B (103) is Normally open contact and normally closed contact respectively.
In accordance with the present invention, the sensor is NSS type sensor.
In another preferred embodiment, the present invention discloses a method of operation of overriding indication device (100), comprising:
a) mounting the COIS (101) horizontally by constructing a specific gap between a stopper bolt (104) and a linkage bracket (105) within the vehicle clutch system,
b) equipping the COIS (101) with sensor-A (102) (normally open contact) designed to remain in an OFF state once no external force is applied to the switch's actuator in the free position (F.P),
c) equipping the COIS (101) with sensor-B (103) (normally closed contact) designed to remain in an ON state once external force is applied to the switch's actuator in the free position (F.P),
d) integrating a visual indication as clusters into the vehicle clutch system for monitoring once the signal from the COIS (101) is disconnected due to the elimination of the gap between the stopper bolt (104) and the linkage bracket (105),
e) installing the indicator device (100) in the clutch pedal (1), and an electric line is connected to the cluster, which will notify the user when it exceeds a predetermined value, thereby the device (100) alerts the user when the clutch is overridden.
In another preferred embodiment the COIS is Clutch Override Indication Switch in the vehicle clutch system.
In another preferred embodiment, the COIS (100) alerting the driver of potential issues with clutch pedal usage by indicating visually as clusters.
WORKING OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
The clutch pedal overriding indication device of the present invention provides real-time feedback to the driver, when the clutch is overridden (i.e., the pedal is pressed unnecessarily), an indicator in the cluster alerts the operator. This visual encourages operators to release the clutch pedal when not actively shifting gears, thereby reduces the mechanical contact that the issue of continuous contact between the clutch release bearing and the clutch finger, by maintaining an optimal gap between these mechanical parts, the indicator of the present invention minimize friction and prevent premature wear, thereby releases the reduced clutch slip and extended clutch life. Moreover, the present invention contributes to longer clutch life, reducing replacement costs. By promoting better clutch usage patterns, the present invention enhances overall tractor performance, The system integrates seamlessly with the existing clutch pedal, thereby the mechanism allows precise control over clutch engagement.

2. An overriding indication device (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Gap between stopper bolt (104) and linkage bracket (105) is in the range of 0mm - 5mm.
3. An overriding indication device (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sensor – A (102) and sensor – B (103) is Normally open contact and normally closed contact respectively.
4. An overriding indication device (100), as claimed in claim1, wherein the sensor is NSS type sensor.
5. A method of operation of overriding indication device (100), comprising:
a) mounting the COIS (101) horizontally by constructing a specific gap between a stopper bolt (104) and a linkage bracket (2) within the vehicle clutch system,
b) equipping the COIS (101) with sensor-A (102) (normally open contact) designed to remain in an OFF state once no external force is applied to the switch's actuator in the free position (F.P),
c) equipping the COIS (101) with sensor-B (103) (normally closed contact) designed to remain in an ON state once external force is applied to the switch's actuator in the free position (F.P),
d) integrating a visual indication as clusters into the vehicle clutch system for monitoring once the signal from the COIS (101) is disconnected due to the elimination of the gap between the stopper bolt (104) and the linkage bracket (105),
e) installing the indicator device (100) in the clutch pedal (1), and an electric line is connected to the cluster, which will notify the user when it exceeds a predetermined value, thereby the device (100) alerts the user when the clutch is overridden.
6. The method of operation of overriding indication device (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the COIS is Clutch Override Indication Switch in the vehicle clutch system.
7. The method of operation of overriding indication device (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the COIS (100) alerting the driver of potential issues with clutch pedal usage by indicating visually as clusters.
