Abstract: “LIGHT INDUCED INHIBITION OF ACTIN POLYMERIZATION” ABSTRACT The present invention generally relates to the field of chemical and biological sciences. In particular, the present invention is directed to a compound of formula IA and/or compound of formula (I) and a process for synthesizing a compound of formula IA and/or compound of formula (I). The compound of formula IA and/or compound of formula (I) is useful for inhibiting Arp2/3 complex, a major actin nucleating factor expressed by all eukaryotes.
