Method To Identify Disassembly Biomolecules That Induce Disassembly Of Protein Aggregates
Abstract: METHOD TO IDENTIFY DISASSEMBLY BIOMOLECULES THAT INDUCE DISASSEMBLY OF PROTEIN AGGREGATES The present invention relates to a method to identify disassembly biomolecule that induces disassembly of protein aggregates. The said method comprises identifying disassembly factor (s) using a model system; designing and preparing the disassembly factor(s) to form tester biomolecule(s) and assessing impact of the tester biomolecule to give disassembly biomolecule(s) that induces disassembly of protein aggregate (s). In principle, such an approach can be customized for various toxic proteins implicated in various disorders. Most of these diseases are characterized by the accumulation of aggregates, and therefore, an approach that focuses on the disassembly of these aggregates could have a wide application.
