Abstract: ABSTRACT BATTERY MODULE FOR A VEHICLE A battery module (100) for a vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle comprises the battery module (100) having a battery pack (102), a holding unit (202) for 5 accommodating a Battery Management System (BMS) (502), and a covering unit (106). The covering unit (106) is detachably attached to holding unit (202) by sliding-in and sliding-out the covering unit (106) over inclined plane of top portion of the holding unit (202). The covering unit (106) when covering BMS (502) has a top part lying on a flat plane and an edge 10 lying parallel to the top portion of the holding unit (202). The BMS (502) is operably coupled to the holding unit (202) such that the BMS (502) is accessible without removing the battery pack (102) from the vehicle. Sliding action of the covering unit (106) allows access to the BMS (502) without removing the battery pack (102) from the battery module (100).
