Preamble: The following specification particularly describes invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to electrical energy consumption announcement system.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[002] In certain states, governments have announced free power supply of up to 200 units for BPL (Below Poverty Line) families. However, if the consumption exceeds even by 1 unit, they are charged for the entire consumption.
[003] With urbanization and the drive for economical living, many high-rise apartments are constructed where residents collectively contract distribution companies for a specific load limit. This contracted load is then shared among individual flats on an optional basis. If the pre-allocated power is exceeded, residents face disconnection.
[004] Understanding these two pain points, I was motivated to develop the present product to address these challenges effectively. The present invention is solved the existing prior art problems.

[005] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
1. The primary object of the invention is to provide users with real-time data on electrical energy usage.
2. The secondary object of invention is to design a system where users can monitor consumed electrical energy usage patterns and avoid exceeding preset consumption limits, which can lead to higher energy tariffs.

3. A further objective of the invention is to enable independent control of electrical loads from a mobile application by using relays.

4. A further objective of the invention is to give SMS alerts to the users during events including but not limited to power failure, power up, high and low voltage, high and low load, and over units consumption.

5. A further objective of the invention is to provide theft protection of the device using a PIR sensor.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[006] The present invention describes an electrical energy consumption announcement system that actively tracks energy consumption, and the users can monitor consumed electrical energy usage patterns and avoid exceeding preset consumption limits, which can lead to higher energy tariffs.
[007] It has an energy metering unit that provides the real time energy consumption and other electrical parameters, a LCD display to show the live energy readings, a communication module, four channel relay outputs, a microcontroller to interface with the sensors, energy metering unit, communication module, LCD display and relays. An external serial flash memory is used to store various system settings and configuration to preserve the configuration data in the absence of power failure. The RTC (Real-Time Clock) section in a microcontroller provides accurate timekeeping functions, even when the main system power is turned off. The RTC keeps track of the current time, including seconds, minutes, hours, and often extends to day, date, month, and year. It operates independently of the main system clock, ensuring continuous timekeeping even during power-down modes or resets. A 3-phase SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) is used to convert AC input into pure DC output to prevent surges. This regulated DC is then supplied as input power to the control card.
[008] The system continuously tracks and displays real-time energy consumption, allowing users to monitor their usage anytime. Users can set predefined energy consumption limits based on their specific needs and tariffs. Notifications are automatically triggered as consumption nears the set limits, keeping users informed. The system features clear, user-friendly displays with graphs and usage indicators to help users easily understand energy consumption patterns. It includes protections against high voltage, low voltage, and power surges. It has a PIR sensor to detect movement of a person near to it and trigger an alarms also sends SMS to the registered mobile number of the users, providing theft protection for the device.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[009] Embodiments are illustrated by way of example and not limitation in the figures of the accompanying drawings, in which like references indicate similar elements and in which:
[010] Fig-1 shows the block diagram of the energy consumption announcement system.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED DRAWINGS
[011] The present invention describes an energy consumption announcement system designed to provide users with real-time data on electrical energy usage.
[012] The block diagram of the present invention is shown in figure-1. It comprises of the following components;
a. 3-phase SMPS
b. Microcontroller
c. Programmer circuit
d. PIR sensor
e. Protection block
f. LCD display
g. Flash memory
h. Four channel relay outputs
i. Battery circuit
j. GPRS module
k. Energy metering unit

[013] A 3-phase SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) is used to convert AC input into pure DC output to prevent surges. This regulated DC is then supplied as input power to the control card.

[014] The RTC (Real-Time Clock) section in a microcontroller provides accurate timekeeping functions, even when the main system power is turned off. The RTC keeps track of the current time, including seconds, minutes, hours, and often extends to day, date, month, and year. It operates independently of the main system clock, ensuring continuous timekeeping even during power-down modes or resets.

[015] The microcontroller used is a 100-pin STM32F373VCT6, a 32-bit microcontroller based on the Arm® Cortex-M4, for its performance, low power consumption, and flexible I/O, which make it ideal for sensor interfacing. Application code is loaded into the flash memory of the microcontroller. An external flash memory chip SST25VF080B was interfaced to the main controller through the SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) bus to store the various system settings and configuration to preserve the configuration data in the absence of power failure.

[016] The four channel relay outputs enable independent control of electrical loads, such as motors, pumps, or lights. Each relay functions as a switch, allowing for automation and remote control through a mobile application. This feature provides users with the option to operate the loads remotely using the mobile application.

[017] A PIR sensor HC-SR501 is mounted on the device and is used for detection of movement of a person nearby. When it detects such event, an electrical load is triggered, and an alarm is raised. This prevents theft of the device.
[018] Energy consumption is measured by the energy metering unit and the microcontroller reads various metering parameters from the energy metering unit through UART communication protocol. The microcontroller displays the real time data through the LCD module. A GPRS module is used for communication of the device to the server. The microcontroller interfaces GPRS module through UART communication protocol. Data integrity is ensured through secure GPRS and TCP-IP protocols, allowing seamless two-way interactions. The device communicates with the server using ASCII-formatted packets, incorporating LRC encoding for error detection. And the embedded software supports extended formats and can be customized for various applications, making it compatible with a range of sensors as either Digital Inputs (DI) or Analog Inputs (AI).

[019] The device can detect events such as power failure, power up, high and low voltage alert, high and low load alert and over units consumption alert. When such events are detected, the device sends SMS alerts to registered mobile number of the users. The device also has protection against high voltage and low voltage, protection against overload and under-load, and protection against theft of the device.
