Abstract: A retrofittable ventilation assembly (104) is disclosed. The retrofittable ventilation assembly (104) includes a ventilating surface (108) mounted on at least one window trim (106) of a door (102), or a sunroof via a plurality of fastening members (602a, 602b, 602c, 602d, and 602e). Further, the ventilating surface (108) includes an array of perforations (118) formed transversely throughout an outer surface area (201) and an inner surface area (109) of the ventilating surface (108) to allow passage of air therethrough. [To be published with FIG. 1]
Description:DESCRIPTION
Technical Field
[001] This disclosure relates generally to the field of a ventilation in vehicles, more particularly to a retrofittable ventilation assembly in vehicles.
Background
[002] During a travelling state, vehicles may encounter inadequate cabin ventilation, particularly when the failure of air-conditioning and not opening a window may be undesirable for an occupant during inclement weather, sandy terrains, etc. Alternatively, opening of the window or operating the air conditioner may result in congestion and discomfort to the occupant, and an influx of dust particles in a cabin. Consequently, inadequate ventilation within the cabin can lead to a suffocating environment for the occupants. As the air within the cabin is neither recirculating nor adequately present, the content of the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) increases, and the oxygen level decreases. Due to this, occupants may experience respiratory difficulties, dizziness, motion sickness, and other related symptoms. Therefore, in , Claims:1. A retrofittable ventilation assembly (104), comprising:
a ventilating surface (108) mounted on at least one of a window trim (106) of a door (102), or a sunroof via a plurality of fastening members (602a, 602b, 602c, 602d, and 602e), wherein the ventilating surface (108) comprises:
an array of perforations (118) formed transversely throughout an outer surface area (201) and an inner surface area (109) of the ventilating surface (108) to allow passage of air therethrough.
2. The retrofittable ventilation assembly (104) as claimed in claim 1, wherein each perforated portion comprises at least one of:
a linear array of grooves (202) formed between the outer surface area (201) and the inner surface area (109), and/or
a slit (302) formed between the outer surface area (201) and the inner surface area (109).
3. The retrofittable ventilation assembly (104) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the ventilating surface (108) comprises:
a periphery (112) comprising:
a plurality of mounting profiles (116a, 116b, and 116c) f
