The nutritional supplement may also be used to treat symptoms such as symptoms of a common cold, sore throat, congestion, mucositis, laryngitis, mucous membrane inflammation and sialorrhea, as well as inflammation and viral infectin, or to inhibit or exterminate a virus. This nutritional supplement can be orally administered a person. The nutritional supplement may further include optional ingredients such as ingredients obtainable from slippery elm bark powder and green tea, as well as other optional ingredients. This nutritional supplement may further include a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier for oral administration. Also disclosed are methods of providing nutrition, for promoting the health of salivary glands and/or supporting normal or healthy swallowing, as well as methods for treating symptoms of a common cold, sore throat, congestion, mucositis, laryngitis, mucous membrane inflammation and sialorrhea. Methods of treating inflammation, and viral infections, as well as inhibiting or exterminating viruses are also disclosed.
Another patent WO2020127072A1 provides a health functional beverage comprising 0.1 - 1 g/L Moringa leaf extract, 0.1-1 g/L Withania somnifera extract and additional ingredients comprising at least one of a sweetener, a flavoring agent, an acidifier, vitamins and minerals, or any mixtures thereof. The beverage comprises 0.2 - 0.7 g/L Moringa leaf extract and 0.2 - 0.7 g/L Withania somnifera extract.
Another patent US20160213615A1 relates to probiotic confection-based compositions comprising lactic acid-producing bacteria and oil-based compositions comprising the same. A probiotic confection-based composition comprising a confection and isolated Bacillus coagulans bacteria, wherein said confection comprises chocolate, and wherein said composition further comprises isolated Bacillus coagulans on the exterior of said confection, wherein at least 75% of said isolated Bacillus coagulans bacteria is in spore form.
Another patent WO2012173587A1 relates to a sugar- free chewable composition for delivering dietary supplements and pharmaceutical compounds. The chewable composition includes a sugar-free delivery vehicle and an active ingredient. The delivery vehicle may include a sugar-free gummy candy. The active ingredient may include an over-the-counter drug or a prescription drug to provide a desired effect on the user. The active ingredient may also include any combination of nutraceuticals, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, soluble and insoluble fiber, herbs, plants, amino acids, probiotics, prebiotics, and digestive enzymes.
Another patent US6740350B2 provide a Chewy confectionery compositions made from fats, optional proteins, carbohydrates comprising reducing sugars and non-reducing sugars having a ratio of from about 1:0.2 to about 1:1, and one or more dietary fibers. The ingredients are present in the compositions in specific amounts and ratios so that the fiber can be easily incorporated into the confectionery compositions without adversely affecting the stability, feel, and taste of the compositions. Preferably, the composition is a "fiber chew" in the form of a palatable, good tasting, bite-sized confectionery containing the dietary fiber.

Main object of the present invention is to develop a tasty and convenient toffee formulation that promotes digestive health.
