Abstract: The present invention relates to the preparation of Power Bites, a nutrient-dense flaxseed-based laddoo designed to deliver ultimate nourishment through a blend of natural, wholesome ingredients. These energy bites are formulated using roasted flax seeds, almonds, cashew nuts, ghee, and jaggery, offering a rich source of essential fatty acids, proteins, antioxidants, and minerals. The method involves dry roasting the flax seeds to enhance digestibility and flavor, followed by the roasting of dry fruits in ghee to improve texture and aroma. The roasted ingredients are coarsely ground and combined with melted jaggery, forming a cohesive, palatable mixture that is shaped into convenient bite-sized balls. This invention offers a preservative-free, high-energy snack option, ideal for health-conscious individuals seeking a natural and functional alternative to processed energy products. The Power Bites provide synergistic health benefits including improved digestion, cardiovascular support, and sustained energy release, making them suitable for regular consumption by individuals of all age groups.
Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of health and nutrition, more specifically to functional food products. It particularly pertains to the formulation of nutrient-rich, ready-to-consume edible items in the form of flaxseed-based laddoos (Power Bites) designed to provide enhanced nourishment, promote overall wellness, and serve as a convenient source of dietary fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and other essential nutrients.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
References which are cited in the present disclosure are not necessarily prior art and therefore their citation does not constitute an admission that such references are prior art in any jurisdiction. All publications, patents and patent applications herein are incorporated by reference to the same extent as if each individual or patent application was specifically and individually indicated to be incorporated by reference.
The Flaxseed Laddoo provides a dietary solution to fill typical nutritional deficiencies experienced by expectant and postnatal women while offering rich nutritional value. Commercial snacks stuffed with artificial additives as well as refined sugars and unhealthy fats lead to digestive problems, weight-related complications and greater chances of gestational diabetes. This laddoo represents an all-natural nutritious choice because it utilizes almonds together with cashew nuts and flax seeds and ghee and jaggery as ingredients. The combination of vitamins and healthy fats and proteins in almonds leads to skin health benefits for mothers and brain development advantages for their new-borns as it also sustains their energy. The mineral content of cashew nuts includes magnesium along with iron which helps develop bones while improving red blood cells and maintaining immune function. The health benefits of flax seeds extend to hormonal regulation and digestive support and anti-inflammatory effects which make them vital for maternal heart health and fetal nervous system growth. Ghee provides essential fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins while improving digestion and joint strength along with producing sustained energy that benefits postpartum recovery. Jaggery provides natural vitamins and minerals that prevent anemia and metabolic boost and antioxidant properties for detoxification functions with sustained energy release. This powerful postnatal food boosts both maternal nutrition as well as immune health while supporting digestion while guaranteeing complete well-being throughout pregnancy and after birth.
The Flaxseed Laddoo as an essential nourishing food source which provides vital elements that promote wellness and energy as well as recovery needs. The principal ingredient of this preparation are essential flaxseeds which pack a superfood composition including omega-3 fatty acids that promote neurological development and minimize inflammation and foster heart wellness. The plant compounds called lignans exist in flaxseeds provide antioxidant properties that deliver hormonal balance to women during pregnancy and after childbirth. The high amount of dietary fiber in these seeds helps digestion by preventing constipation and promotes healthy gut function for efficient nutrient absorption.
The combination of nuts and seeds in the Flaxseed Laddoo delivers essential nutrients that specifically benefit pregnant women together with those who have just given birth. All the ingredients within this laddoo - almonds, cashew nuts, flax seeds and ghee and jaggery bring their own set of health advantages. The protein and healthy fats and vitamin E content in almonds strengthens fetal brain development as well as supports skin health and provides sustained energy to the body. The magnesium content in cashew nuts sustains bone strength alongside functioning heart mechanisms and muscle limberness which together protect against fatigue and activate immune response. Hormonal balance unfolds through the consumption of flax seeds which also provides omega-3 fatty acids and lignans to support fetal brain development and strengthen the nervous system. Ghee serves as a traditional superfood that increases nutrient uptake while supplying essential fats beneficial for fetal growth and it strengthens the joints and skin of expecting mothers. Jaggery delivers multiple health benefits as a nutritious sweetener because it contains iron to prevent anemia and strengthens immunity while providing the body with slow-release energy. This natural sweetener works better than refined sugar because of its health benefits. Roasting almonds and cashews and flax seeds with ghee and jaggery facilitates optimal flavor while improving nutrient accessibility through fine grinding before combining with melted ghee and jaggery to produce a nutritious-based mixture. The well-balanced composition of proteins along with healthy fats and fiber and essential minerals gives the laddoo its status as an excellent functional food suitable for pregnancy and postpartum periods and for steady nourishment.
The skin radiance and fetus brain development benefit from almonds' rich content of vitamin E and healthy fats and protein components which also boost energy maintenance. Expectant mothers benefit from almonds' calcium and magnesium content because these nutrients promote strong bones and muscles as well as reduce expectant mothers' risk of muscle cramps and fatigue. Cashew nuts deliver a considerable amount of magnesium and zinc which strengthen immunity and support nerve function and contribute to healthy bones and joints. The healthy fats in cashew nuts preserve cardiovascular health while facilitating foetal growth in addition to maintaining heart wellness. The traditional Ayurvedic food ghee functions as a crucial superfood because it helps better digestion and gut health while strengthening immunity. Nature provides ghee with four fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K which enhance nutrient absorption while maintaining elasticity in maternal skin and providing multiple benefits to both the mother and developing baby. These nutritional facts make ghee a useful dietary ingredient that provides energy to support women as they recover from birth and continue breastfeeding their babies. Jaggery serves as the natural sweetener in this laddoo because it brings iron and antioxidants along with essential minerals to the recipe. Jaggery provides stronger immunity in addition to anaemia prevention and better digestive health together with liver detoxification because it differs from refined sugar by supporting higher haemoglobin levels. Because of its body heat jaggery helps postpartum women recover from birth by supporting uterine contractions.
The Flaxseed Laddoo contains measured nutrient proportions which turn it into an excellent food choice that supports energy levels and strengthens immunity while respecting digestive health.

ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION:
The Flaxseed Laddoo represents a carefully designed nutritional powerhouse that helps mothers maintain their health and well-being throughout pregnancy. The invention merges almonds that offer critical healthy fats along with vitamin E and protein to benefit fetal brain development and preserve skin health and supply steady energy. Both cashew nuts deliver zinc and magnesium that help develop strong bones in addition to boosting the immune system and maintaining proper blood circulation. The essential brain development component of flaxseeds found in this mixture stems from their omega-3 fatty acids and lignans along with fiber which mutually improve heart health and hormonal management while supporting digestive health and pregnancy wellness. Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) alongside enhanced digestion and strengthened immunity along with natural energy are key benefits that ghee provides to lactating mothers. The use of jaggery as a natural sugar substitute in these laddoos provides essential nutrients that stop anaemia and cleanse the body while building a healthy digestive system. This nutritious laddoo functions as a preservative-free natural snack because it contains energy-rich ingredients which both enhance maternal nutrition and help women recover from giving birth while supporting their general health.
