Description:TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of electrical distribution systems. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to an electrical distribution board designed to provide an enhanced and aesthetically pleasing solution for managing electrical circuits in residential, commercial, and industrial spaces while prioritizing fire safety.

BACKGROUND
[0002] Electrical distribution boards are a critical component in the management and distribution of electrical power throughout a building. They serve as the central hub that connects incoming power supply to various circuits, allowing electricity to flow safely and efficiently to various appliances and systems. Electrical distribution boards typically consist of a metal or plastic enclosure that houses circuit breakers, fuses, wiring, and other electrical components designed to manage electrical flow, protect against overloads, and isolate circuits in the event of a fault. In conventional electrical installations, distribution boards are often bulky, utilitarian, and designed primarily for function rather than aesthetics. The functional design and exposure of these boards can detract from the overall visual appeal of a room or building, especially in spaces with modern or high-end interior decor.
[0003] Fire safety has always been a key concern in the design and installation of electrical distribution systems. Electrical distribution boards house components that are susceptible to failure due to factors such as short circuits, overloads, aging, or faulty wiring. Such failures can lead to overheating and, in the worst-case scenario, the ignition of surrounding materials, potentially causing catastrophic fires. To address these risks, fire-retardant materials are commonly used in distribution boards to limit the possibility of fire propagation. However, in many cases, these solutions are implemented without considering the aesthetic integration of fire-resistant technology with the surrounding décor. Furthermore, conventional designs often fail to provide adequate protection in severe fire conditions, such as during an electrical fault that could lead to an intense fire in a confined space.
[0004] Currently, the market offers fire-resistant distribution boards, designed to prevent the spread of fire by incorporating materials such as fire-retardant plastics or metal enclosures. However, these boards are typically utilitarian and unattractive, making them undesirable features in modern homes or office spaces where interior design and visual appeal are important.
[0005] Currently used electrical distribution boards often become damaged or aesthetically compromised during construction or while in use, primarily due to rusting. These distribution boards do not align with modern interior design standards and are typically concealed to avoid detracting from the décor. Additionally, they lack built-in space for managing extra wires, leading to cluttered and tangled wiring, which significantly increases the risk of fire hazards. Another major drawback is that these conventional distribution boards do not provide any provision for the installation or removal of switchgears in a completely assembled form, complicating maintenance tasks. Switchgear installation in conventional distribution boards is done on-site, where achieving the necessary torque during installation is challenging, especially when considering the varying cross-sections of the wires to be used. This lack of precision can lead to poorly secured connections, further exacerbating safety concerns. Furthermore, conventional distribution boards are assembled on-site using readily available materials and accessories, often compromising on quality and safety. The mounting of switchgears is done in an environment that may not guarantee the use of the correct torque, leading to potential risks of loose connections or electrical failures.
[0006] Furthermore, many of the existing distribution boards are designed to be operable only from one side, i.e., either left or right, limiting the available space for electricians to work comfortably and efficiently. When maintenance is required, the front cover of these distribution boards must be completely removed. This can result in the loss of mounting screws, and in many cases, the distribution boards are left uncovered, posing a safety risk to anyone nearby. Traditional distribution boards are typically limited to the single function of distributing power and lack versatility. Moreover, color-coding of wires is not consistently followed as a regular practice, leading to confusion and errors during installation or repairs. In addition, conventional distribution boards do not incorporate any features to prevent fire hazards, nor do they have mechanisms in place to protect against damage caused by fire, leaving them vulnerable to catastrophic failures in fire-prone situations.
[0007] Additionally, electrical distribution boards are often not easily customizable in terms of design, limiting their ability to meet specific aesthetic requirements while maintaining necessary safety standards. As a result, property owners and architects face a trade-off between fire safety and aesthetic appeal when selecting electrical distribution systems.
[0008] Given the shortcomings of existing electrical distribution boards, there is a clear need for an innovative electrical distribution board that combines advanced fire extinguishing capabilities with a decorative and aesthetically pleasing design. Such an electrical distribution board should not only meet the rigorous safety standards required for fire prevention and containment but also serve as a stylish and integral component of the interior space. The present disclosure aims to overcome the limitations of existing designs by providing a distribution board that incorporates high-performance fire-resistant materials, structural innovations for fire extinguishing, and an adaptable, aesthetically pleasing exterior. This will allow users to seamlessly integrate fire-safe electrical systems into their interior designs without sacrificing either function or appearance.
