Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a mounting assembly. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a height-adjustable mounting assembly.

BACKGROUND

[0002] The information in this section merely provides background information related to the present disclosure and may not constitute prior art(s) for the present disclosure.

[0003] A mounting assembly is installed at a trap assembly or such type of assembly. The mounting assembly is connected to a base forming a foundation in a ground for the trap assembly. Herein, the mounting assembly includes legs, a base, and a bracket. The legs are connected to the base, the bracket and form the mounting assembly.

[0004] Currently, the existing legs are rigid and connected to the trap assembly. The legs are connected to the base forming the foundation in the ground by using a fastening element. Connecting the legs to the base requires accurate positioning in the foundation. Improper positioning and rigidness of the legs result in bucking in the legs. Herein, if a portion of the legs is damaged or has any similar issue, the whole legs need to be replaced. This increases the overall cost associated with the maintenance of the mounting assembly. Further, existing legs make the mounting assembly bulkier and more complex.

[0005] Therefore, it is desirable to provide a mounting assembly that can overcome one or more limitations associated with existing art.

[0006] The drawbacks/difficulties/disadvantages/limitations of the conventional techniques explained in the background section are just for exemplary purposes and the disclosure would never limit its scope only such limitations. A person skilled in art would understand that this disclosure and below mentioned description may also solve other problems or overcome the other drawbacks/disadvantages of the conventional arts that are not explicitly captured above.

SUMMARY

[0007] This summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts, in a simplified format, that are further described in the detailed description of the invention. This summary is neither intended to identify key or essential inventive concepts of the invention nor is it intended for determining the scope of the invention.

[0008] The present disclosure relates to a height-adjustable mounting assembly. The height-adjustable mounting assembly includes a base plate, an angle-shaped column, a mounting plate, and a height-adjustable mounting unit. The angle-shaped column having a bottom end, and a top end opposite to the bottom end. An intermediate section extends between the bottom end and the top end. The intermediate section includes a neck portion, such that a width of the intermediate section at the top end is wider than a width of the neck portion and a width of the portion between the neck portion gradually increases towards the bottom end. The mounting plate is coupled to the top end of the angle-shaped column. The height-adjustable mounting unit is coupled to the mounting plate.

[0009] In the present disclosure, the mounting plate and the C-shaped bracket may be fastened with the angle-shaped column via the bolt, the plurality of nuts, and the plurality of washers. Within the tightening and loosening of the plurality of nuts, the plurality of washers, the position of the angle-shaped column or the bolt can be adjusted with respect to each other. This makes the height-adjustable mounting unit more flexible and universal.

[0010] Additionally, the pair of slots on the base plate provides accurate positioning for a fastening element. This reduces the overall time and cost associated with the installation and manufacturing of the height-adjustable mounting unit. The height-adjustable mounting unit is mounted at a location of the mounting plate, such that the axis of the height-adjustable mounting unit coincides with the Centre of Gravity (CG) of the angle-shaped column and reduces the bucking in the angle-shaped column. The design of the angle-shaped column makes the height-adjustable mounting unit lighter and less complex. Thus, the height-adjustable mounting unit of the present disclosure is more reliable, flexible, and cost-effective.
