The present invention related to a system that provides the facility of real-time, health monitoring of a pet animal using a smart integrated neckband consisting of various sensors, camera module (101), GPS (102), etc., for efficiently measuring the health.
Upon initialization of the pet health monitoring system, the pet owner starts by installing the specialized application onto their smartphone or smartwatch, simultaneously, the neckband is securely tied around the pet's neck or connected to the collar. It is carefully created to ensure the pet's comfort and safety. The neckband, which has been integrated with a variety of advanced sensors, carefully collects extensive data during the data collecting stage which is essential for keeping track of the health and welfare of the pet. Known as the Pet Health Monitor, this moment tool merges in perfectly with the pet's everyday activities, improving their quality of life and giving the owner useful information. The Pet Health Monitor uses specialized sensors, such as a heart rate sensor (103) to measure cardiovascular health, a glucometer sensor (104) for blood sugar levels, and a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor (105) for measuring blood pressure. These sensors are carefully engineered to guarantee precision and dependability in health evaluation. Concurrently, by utilizing sophisticated algorithms and signal processing methods, the neckband carefully examines the physiological signals and behaviour of the pet to identify subtle emotional states, allowing for a more profound comprehension of their mental health. Real-time tracking of the pet's location is made possible by the neckband's integration of a GPS module (102). Additionally, supported by an up-to-date artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced camera module (101), the Pet Health Monitor takes pictures of the pet's surroundings and allows for real-time food habit analysis to detect possible risks or dangerous ingestions. The neckband uses solar power and a rechargeable battery as dual power sources (106), ensuring continuous functioning regardless of environmental circumstances, as evidence of its dedication to sustainability and dependability. After the carefully selected and processed data from the neckband is wirelessly transferred to the pet owner's smartphone or smartwatch by Wi-Fi Module (107), the dedicated application begins analysing the information gathered by the neckband. Additionally, the GPS feature enables the pet owner to view the pet's real-time whereabouts on a dynamic map display.
In terms of notifications, the most important is the constant monitoring of health parameters, where a deviation beyond predefined thresholds results in immediate delivery of notifications to the owner's smartphone or smartwatch. In the event of major deterioration in the pet's health, an emergency notification is automatically directed to the nearest veterinarian clinic, providing immediate assistance and expert care. In addition, the system keeps a close eye on the pet's geographical location, instantly warning the owner if the pet strays too far from the usual range of home, allowing for quicker retrieval and protecting against any threats. Furthermore, if the pet's emotional state deteriorates, a notification is delivered. Also, if the AI-embedded camera module detects any unsafe food item, it sends an emergency notification to the owner together with the image. The health attributes collected by the Pet Health Monitoring System is shown to the user vis application.
All collected data, including health parameters, emotional states, and location history, are stored securely in the cloud for future analysis and reference. The dimension of the invention is not specified as based on different animals and different breed of animals the size of the strap or the size of the device can be customized.
