Abstract: An electric vehicle system (20) comprises a power source (1) configured to supply direct current (DC) electric power, and an electric prime mover (3) that receives the DC power to drive the vehicle. A control unit (2) is operatively coupled between the power source (1) and the electric prime mover (3). The control unit (2) includes an inverter module 2(a) that converts the DC power into alternating current (AC) suitable for driving the electric prime mover (3). Additionally, the control unit (2) integrates a control logic module 2(b) that governs vehicle operation by performing multiple steps. These include receiving driver inputs such as ignition, throttle, and direction signals; receiving real-time feedback from a feedback sensor (8) mounted on the electric prime mover (3), wherein the feedback includes motor speed, direction of rotation, and winding temperature; and executing operational logic to dynamically determine and regulate the current and voltage output to the electric prime mover (3) (Refer FIGS. 1A-1C).
