Specification

Description:KAARYAPATH: A DIGITAL EMPLOYMENT PLATFORM FOR INFORMAL WORKERS WITH VOICE-ENABLED INTERFACE, DIGITAL ID GENERATION, AND UPI-ENABLED PAYMENTS
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] This invention relates to the area of technology for employment and workforce management. More specifically, it pertains to informal worker and employer voice-enabled, multilingual digital employment systems which integrates digital identity creation and UPI-based, zero-commission payments.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002] In India and other developing economies, there is a significant portion of the workforce that is informal in nature, such as daily wage workers, gig employees, and servants. This portion of the workforce is the most disadvantaged in terms of employability. Their chances of obtaining verified employment is further compounded by low levels of literacy which affects their ability to articulate their skills. In addition to that, most of such workers do not possess an official digital profile, which undermines their credibility in the eyes of potential employers, many of whom will not consider unverified profiles. Such workers also face the problem of dependency upon middlemen or syndicates who, to make matters worse, take a massive cut in the form of high commission fees.
[0003] Existing online employment services focus on the formal economy, which is the reason why informal sector workers in developing nations are lagging. Such services require a certain level of literacy or a basic understanding of smartphones, which place them out of reach of the informal workforce. This scenario keeps informal workers trapped in a system that exploits them.
[0004] Therefore, an informal sector employment platform is an immediate need. The system should enable heard access for illiterate users. It would also need to support the development of a formal digitized profile to establish credibility, guide users step by step to help a user to foster a formal digital identity. Most importantly, the platform must also allow for real-time digital payment for work done, commission free, utilizing direct payment systems such as UPI.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The main goals of our study are to create a digital employment ecosystem for informal workers to seamlessly connect with approved employers.
[0006] A primary goal focuses on overcoming reading limitations for low-literate users by offering voice-enabled, native language interfacing, ensuring full accessibility to the platform.
[0007] The informal labor market in particular seeks to create digital worker identification (ID) systems which authenticate and safely store worker credentials alongside employment history, thereby fostering trust and validation.
[0008] Another goal focuses on the direct payment systems for employers and workers by enabling zero-commission payments through UPI which directly eliminates middlemen and, in turn, promotes wage transparency.
[0009] The final goal focuses on ensuring the platform can be accessed through basic smartphones which provides a user-friendly and a secure system to the informal workforce.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0010] This invention offers a digital employment platform called “Kaaryapath” aimed at addressing gaps in the informal sector. It is available as a mobile and web application powered by cloud backend systems.
[0011] This platform encompasses a worker registration module which creates a formal digital profile for every worker. The digital ID created safeguards the worker's demographic details, skills, and employment records, thus constructing a validated professional profile. The system is equipped with a voice-driven, multilingual job search and application interface, which is helpful to the functionally illiterate.
[0012] The platform has an inbuilt job verification engine as a basic feature which verifies all job postings are from registered employers in order to guarantee a trusted environment for both the job seekers and the employers. It is also possible to automate the allocation of jobs to workers using a well-defined matching algorithm which considers the worker's skills, geographical location, and time of availability. Earning Gap payment system which allow for direct payments without any additional fee for employers to workers ensures payment without any undue burden for the workers. The platform is fortified by a well-defined data protection system as regard to all documents and sensitive information about the workers and employers.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0013] Various modifications and alternative forms, specific embodiment thereof has been shown by way of example in the figures and will be described below. It should be understood, however, that it is not intended to limit the disclosure to the forms disclosed, but on the contrary, the disclosure is to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternative falling within the scope of the disclosure.
[0014] The terms “comprise,” “comprising,” or any other variations thereof used in the disclosure, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion, such that a device, system, assembly that comprises a list of components does not include only those components but may include other components not expressly listed or inherent to such system, or assembly, or device. In other words, one or more elements in a system or device proceeded by “comprises… a” does not, without more constraints, preclude the existence of other elements or additional elements in the system or device.
[0015] This embodiment of the invention introduces "Kaaryapath", an integrated digital platform aimed at solving specific employment issues of the informal sector workers. This platform is composed of different modules that interconnect to simplify the hiring and job searching processes.
[0016] The informal workers can register through a voice guided process in their native language, which offers the necessary support for the illiterate population. During the registration phase, they can verify and upload their Aadhaar, voter ID, or ration card. After the process is completed, a unique digital worker ID is created which contains the worker's details like name, age, gender, and native language, along with their relevant skills which include construction, domestic work, gig work, and a decentralized employment and rating history.
[0017] A core benefit of the platform is its voice-enabled, multilingual interface. It uses cutting-edge ASR technology for Hindi, English, and several other regional languages. Because of this, navigating through job descriptions, applying for jobs, and even accepting jobs is as simple as speaking, which is very helpful for the uneducated and first-time smartphone users.
[0018] To post jobs, employers have to clear a strict Know Your Customer (KYC) and business validation threshold which acts as a verification layer. After verification, a robust matching engine automatically using complex algorithms to available workers and open jobs using a myriad of critical parameters. nto consideration the worker’s skills, proximity to the job, their availability, and any preferences the worker may have.
[0019] The platform is integrated with the UPI payment system as a measure for assuring fairness and transparency. UPI is a digital payment system which is used widely across India. This integration allows for direct bank payments or payments to digital wallets associated with the workers bank accounts. As a result, the integration eliminates the use of contractors or посредниках heels who are known for taking high commission fees.
[0020] The platform has distinct and intuitive dashboards for the workers and employers. With the workers dashboard, individuals can access their entire job history, track the wages earned, and even view their ratings. The employer dashboard allows businesses to actively manage their job postings, check the credentials of prospective workers, and track all payments made.
[0021] The platform has a strong security architecture to protect the sensitive nature of the data. The employees are protected with multi factor authentication along with their employers. Additionally, all information is stored with encryption to secure, cloud-based servers and the entire system is designed ©to be compliant with the Indian IT Act and other pertinent data protection laws.
[0022] Although embodiments for the present subject matter have been described in language specific to structural features, it is to be understood that the present subject matter is not necessarily limited to the specific features described. Rather, the specific features and methods are disclosed as embodiments for the present subject matter. Numerous modifications and adaptations of the system/component of the present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art, and thus it is intended by the appended claims to cover all such modifications and adaptations which fall within the scope of the present subject matter.
