Abstract: A housing unit 3 comprises: a hollow casing 31; and a rotary window 4 disposed at an opening of the casing 31. The rotary window 4 includes: a window 41 that has light transmissivity; a window frame 42 that supports the window 41 at a peripheral edge thereof; and a driven means 54 provided to the outer periphery of the window frame 42. The housing unit is provided with: a driving means 5 for driving the driven means 54 to rotate the window frame 42, thereby rotating the rotary window 4; and a jetting means 6 for jetting a fluid out toward the outer surface of the window 41. With this housing unit or a camera unit provided with such housing unit, it is possible to sufficiently remove water spray, grease stains, or the like which is adhered onto the rotary window in a usage environment.
