Abstract: The present invention relates to a lithium-sulfur battery and a method for evaluating the output characteristics of the lithium-sulfur battery, the lithium-sulfur battery comprising: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and an electrolyte, wherein the positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material containing a sulfur-carbon composite, and the lithium-sulfur battery has a ratio R(1.0C/0.5C) of 80% or more according to relation 1. The lithium-sulfur battery has sufficient energy density and capacity even if discharged at a high rate.
