Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a battery according to one aspect of the present invention may comprise: a power supplying unit connected to charge and discharge paths of a battery; a driving unit configured to apply starting power to the power supplying unit from the charge and discharge paths during a preset starting time to start the power supplying unit; a switching unit connected between the charge and discharge paths of the battery and the power supplying unit; and a control unit configured to, in response to the application of first operation power output from the power supplying unit, turn the switching unit on and be driven, after the starting time, by means of second operation power generated by the power supplying unit.
