Battery Module Having Improved Venting Structure

Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery module having negative electrode and positive electrode terminals provided at the upper part thereof. Each of battery cells included in the battery module has negative electrode and positive electrode leads, both of which protrude toward one side in the width direction of the battery cells, and a battery cell lamination formed by laminating the multiple battery cells is connected to the terminals through one plate-shaped busbar frame provided thereabove. Each of the battery cells includes a pouch which allows the negative electrode and positive electrode leads to protrude therethrough and is fusion-sealed along a sealing part to accommodate an electrode assembly, the sealing part includes a first sealing part and a second sealing part having a sealing strength stronger than the first sealing part, and the first sealing part is provided to face upward in a state where the battery cell stack is accommodated in a housing.
