Abstract: This plated steel sheet includes a steel sheet and a plating layer disposed on the surface of the steel sheet, and the plating layer has a chemical composition containing: 10.0-25.0% of Al; 3.0-10.0% of Mg; 0.01-2.00% of Fe; and more than 0.00% and at most 2.00% of Si, with the balance consisting of Zn and impurities. When a glancing incidence X-ray diffraction measurement is performed on the plating layer by using Cu-Ka rays, under the conditions in which the acceleration voltage serving as an X-ray output is 50 kV, and the X-ray incident angle relative to the surface of the plating layer is 1°, the X-ray diffraction intensity ratio (I(Mg21Zn25)/I(?-Zn)) of the (300) plane of the Mg21Zn25 phase and the (002) plane of the ?-Zn phase is greater than 0.3.
