Apparatus And Method For Managing Battery

Abstract: An apparatus for managing a battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a profile acquisition unit configured to acquire a measured full cell profile indicating the correspondence between the voltage and the capacity of the battery; a profile determination unit configured to divide the measured full cell profile into a plurality of sections according to a prescribed criterion, adjust a preset reference positive electrode profile and a preset reference negative electrode profile to correspond to the plurality of sections, and generate a plurality of adjusted positive electrode profiles and a plurality of adjusted negative electrode profiles according to the results of the adjustment; and a control unit configured to determine diagnosis factors for the battery in at least one of the plurality of adjusted positive electrode profiles or the plurality of adjusted negative electrode profiles.
