Energy Storage System And Communication Method Therefor

Abstract: Presented in the present invention are an energy storage system and a communication method therefor, the energy storage system comprising the steps of: transmitting, to an upper controller, battery cell information including voltage information for all battery cells from a BMS; storing voltage information for any N battery cells among a plurality of battery cells managed by the BMS; transmitting the number of stored N battery cells to the upper controller; generating, by the upper controller, authentication key information by using a value of the number of N battery cells whose voltage information is stored; generating a first authentication key by using the battery cell information and the authentication key information; transmitting the first authentication key and the authentication key information to the BMS; generating, by the BMS, a second authentication key by using the number of N battery cells whose voltage information is stored and the authentication key information; and comparing the first authentication key with the second authentication key to determine the authenticity of a control command from the upper controller.
