Abstract: The present invention relates to a self-supporting ceramic separator for an electrochemical device and an electrochemical device comprising same and, more specifically, to a self-supporting ceramic separator for an electrochemical device and an electrochemical device comprising same, wherein the self-supporting ceramic separator for an electrochemical device appropriately controls the quantity and arrangement of first inorganic particles which are flat and second inorganic particles which are a zeolite-based inorganic material so as to improve the heat resistance of the separator, prevents an electrical short circuit between electrodes so as to improve the safety of a battery, and exhibits excellent cell life characteristics.
