Steam Turbine And Method For Modifying Same

Abstract: In this method for modifying a steam turbine, a blade removal step and a flow path partition step are implemented. In the blade removal step, a plurality of moving blade rows including a moving blade row on the most axially downstream side and adjacent to each other in the axial direction among a plurality moving blade rows are removed, and stationary blade rows adjacent to the plurality of removed moving blade rows on the axially upstream side of the respective moving blade rows among the plurality of stationary blade rows are removed. In the flow path partition step, an annular steam flow path formed between the inner peripheral side of a rotor casing and the outer peripheral side of a rotor shaft is partitioned at a position on the axially downstream side of a final-stage moving blade row, which is the moving blade row on the most axially downstream side among one or more moving blade rows left after the blade removal step.
