Lithium Secondary Battery

Abstract: The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly comprising a cathode containing a cathode active material an anode containing an anode active material and a separator interposed between the cathode and the anode; an electrolyte; and a battery case accommodating the electrode assembly and the electrolyte. The cathode active material contains a first lithium nickel based oxide which is in the form of at least one of a single particle consisting of one nodule and a pseudo single particle as a composite of 30 or less nodules in an amount of 50 w% or more of the total weight of the cathode active material and the anode active material is composed of a Si/C composite and a carbon based anode active material.
