Abstract: This system for removing material unsuitable for shredding removes from scrap material that may damage a shredder facility for shredding the scrap prior to the introduction of the scrap into the shredder facility the system including a drum type magnetic sorting machine for removing magnetic material having a weight at least equal to a prescribed weight from the scrap an imaging device for imaging the scrap from which the magnetic material having a weight at least equal to the prescribed weight has been removed by the drum type magnetic sorting machine and an information processing device for acquiring and analyzing a captured image from the imaging device wherein: the information processing device identifies material unsuitable for shredding from the captured image using a learning model that identifies material unsuitable for shredding; and if material unsuitable for shredding is identified performs an output to indicate that the scrap contains material unsuitable for shredding.
