Abstract: Provided is a hot rolled steel sheet characterized by having a predetermined chemical composition and having a metal structure which includes in area% 30 60 % of ferrite 30 60 % of bainite and 5 20 % of martensite and in which TiC deposits having a diameter of 2.0 8.0 nm exist at a number density of at least 1.0 ?? 1016/cm3 in the ferrite and the average aspect ratio of prior austenite grains in a region containing bainite and martensite is at least 3.0.
